Michelle Lapine McCabe, MA
Michelle McCabe is a Research Assistant at the Rudd Center for Food Policy & Obesity at Yale University. She works with Roberta Friedman, Director of Public Policy, to research and create policy briefs and issue factsheets, track legislation, and educate federal, state, and local policy makers and advocacy organizations about food policy and obesity research. Michelle also contributes to the Rudd 'Roots Parents website, creating content to assist parents looking to improve food served and sold in schools.
Michelle advocates for a healthy school food environment in her town. She is currently a member of the Fuel for Learning Partnership, a PTA council standing committee, following a three-year term as chairperson. In that role, she served on the Wellness Coalition, organized educational events around nutrition and local food, and worked with administrators to improve school lunches and school food policy.
Michelle received her Bachelor's degree from Vassar College and her Master's degree from the University of Texas, Austin, both in art history.
